Nikola Mucha plays, cares, bitches and sometimes just can’t go on. Markéta Sehnalová spent six years by her side. She portrays the singer-songwriter, who turns frustration into self-mocking femipunk songs about relationships, female rage and everyday fuck-ups, also as an exhausted mother. The restless camera takes us from concerts into the backstage world, where bravado gives way to doubts about whether you can be a good parent and still want something for yourself. With the same fierce energy as in Mucha’s live shows, this fragmentary portrait wastes no time on explanations or sentimentality, letting anger, laughs and moments when there is nothing to celebrate exist side by side.

Nikola is a German television sitcom that premiered on September 12, 1997 on RTL Television.

尼古拉·特斯拉……被遗忘的科学家，为我们的未来奠定了基础。

The merging of reality with legend, the image of reality (Ruthenian Verkhovyna in the 1920s) and its reflection in people's minds - this is what characterizes the story of the modern Transcarpathian bandit Nikola Šuhaj, who "took from the rich and gave to the poor". Ivan Olbracht's novel from the 1930s, one of the artistic peaks of modern Czech prose, is a dramatic story about a war deserter, his love for the beautiful Eržica, a story about revenge for wrongs, persecution, betrayal and death. Šuhaj's fate merged with legends in people's memory. By combining elements of the past and the present, document and myth, the story turned into a ballad about how eternal and strong the human dream of freedom and happiness is.

Nikola Tesla-visionary, inventor, genius. The world remembers his groundbreaking discoveries, but few know the secret that consumed his final years: a relentless quest to reach the other side.
